The agreement

These terms govern your use of the Antibacterial website and service at antibacterial.ai, operated under the Antibacterial brand. By creating an account or running a screen you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are able to do that.

Research use only

Antibacterial is a research tool. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic, not an antibiogram and not clinical guidance. Every output is a computational prediction derived from published activity data, and it may be wrong.

• Do not use any output for diagnosis, treatment selection, dosing, infection control or any other decision affecting a patient.
• Do not present an output as a laboratory measurement, an antibiogram or a regulatory submission result.
• Confirm anything that matters with a proper assay. A screen tells you what is worth measuring; the plate tells you what is true.

Exports carry this label and you agree not to remove it when sharing results.

What the service is

You submit a compound and a strain panel; the service returns a predicted MIC band per strain, a susceptibility call, an expected resistance mechanism, supporting analogs where they exist, and a confidence level. Accounts

An account requires a valid email address, confirmed with a one time code. Keep your access credentials and any API keys secure, and tell us promptly if you believe they have been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account and, where your plan includes multiple seats, for the people you invite.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the service to design, produce or improve a biological weapon, or anything else intended to cause harm.
• Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, plan allowances or authentication.
• Do not scrape, resell or redistribute the service or its outputs as a competing prediction product.
• Do not submit personal data or patient data as compound input. The field is for structures.
• Do not use the service in a way that breaks the law where you are.

Your data and your structures

You keep all rights in the structures and data you submit. We use them to answer your screens and for nothing else. Specifically, and as a term of this contract:

• Submitted structures are never used to train, fine tune or evaluate any model.
• They are never shared with other customers.
• They are deleted on request.

Plans and payment

Plans and their allowances are listed on the pricing page. There is no free plan; the interactive screen on the homepage is a limited free demonstration and carries a per session limit. Prices are in USD and exclude any taxes that apply to you. Monthly plans renew monthly and annual plans renew annually until cancelled. Invoicing and purchase orders are available from the Program plan. Exceeding a plan allowance does not incur a surprise charge; the service tells you and you can move up a plan.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available and will give notice of planned maintenance where we can. A 99.9% uptime commitment applies on the Program and Enterprise plans. Outside those plans the service is provided without an uptime guarantee.

Intellectual property

The service, the interface and the underlying method remain ours. You may use the outputs of your own screens freely inside your organisation, including in internal reports and grant applications, provided the research use only status is not misrepresented. You may not present outputs as measured laboratory data.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided as is. We do not warrant that a prediction is correct, complete or fit for a particular purpose, and we say so throughout the product because it is the honest position. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Termination

You can stop using the service and close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached, particularly the acceptable use and research use sections. On termination you can ask for your data to be exported and deleted.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date above and, for material changes, email account holders in advance. We will not weaken the commitments in the data section without your agreement.
